"Chilling" Finale...

FMQ stippling and straight line stitching down each side of the seam with some Gutermann thread (my favorite)

Kona orange,Ocean blue and Cadet blue with some Heidi Grace bubbles on the right and a Joann's snowflake print on left

DMC black thread was used for the penguin feet, perle cotton #8 for the snowflakes in the center and polar bear feet on the right

scrappy binding=happiness on so many lovely levels AND a newly discovered blanket stitch for that binding (my new vice!)

The whole process of this quilt has left me utterly speechless now.   There are so many different levels of this top that have taught me,molded me and just plain out made me feel better about myself as a quilter.  At first I was not happy with it, then I started on the embroidery and the DMC was not cutting it and then (angels singing) I discovered perle cotton #8 and that cleared that area up.  I started stippling the top and the grid lines and was a little weirded out by how it was developing to be honest!  With my still like new skillz, though, I was very pleased in the end.

Once finished, though, I may have to actually part with this one and sell it!!!  (Hmmmm, now I need an Etsy shop to do that don't I ? ;) )

OOOOh I am attaching this to Sarah Craig's blog over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict too BTW:)

This has helped me immensely to get this quilt DONE I will add!!!

P.S.  Go see Lily at  http://lilysquilts.blogspot.com and win some Sherbet Pips!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I WANT some, how about you????

Have a lovely night:)
