Sally over at Sally's Quilting Corner has come up with a fantastic idea of doing a December tour of Quilts spread throughout blog land. It reminds me of a mini museum where one can enter and see gorgeous works of art on display. Why would anyone turn that down?!
Here is what I have decided to display in the "gallery"................................................................
{Custom made potholders}
I tried out the Square in a square pattern and it was a good time!
A friend of mine I met through bible study back in GA, that followed me to NC, needed some Christmas potholders to dress up her home for the holidays approaching;) She calls me her crafty friend all the time;) What a sweetie eh!
{"Oh Joyful" tree skirt}
This was a VERY pleasing project to undertake and I am grinning away at the results:):):):) Some of the things I adore about this skirt are the Ruby prints,the fun tree pattern,scallops galore,the gingham bows and--------------- WELL everything! I had a bit of trouble with the bias binding,but only because I have never attempted it before. I can put aside that issue because I was super happy that I got to hand embroider something to give that extra **sparkle**. (I haven't done that in awhile.)
I cannot wait---cannot WAIT to see it adorn my Christmas tree this season. Couple more weeks when my dad and brother arrive in NC and off we go for the perfect tree. Ayden is going to LOVE it!!!!
So who is next on this fabulous Blog Tour of Quilts hosted by Sally??????
Go see Kristen's blog at: www.kd-quilts.com
I wonder what she has in her "gallery?"
P.S. I know she is a really sweet and caring person that I met through #talknt on Tues. nights where we talk quilting:P
Get your coffee, tea or hot chocolate (yum!) ready for some quilting fun!!!
Enjoy and I hope all of you have a blessed and Merry Christmas!!!

Your potholders are too pretty to use. Love the tree skirt. It will definitely outshine the tree this year. Thanks for sharing :)
What great projects!
I have been wanting to make some pot holders, do you use double folded bias tape to get the loop at the end to work?
Cute potholders and tree skirts! I just love Christmas fabrics, especially when contrasted with white. Looks like you're having fun making Christmas projects.
