Solids

I received my pretty Kona solids in Pear,Peacock and Bahama Blue the other day from the Fresh Modern Fabric Shop on Etsy.  That Alice is quick and she was able to sneak in some samples of other lines too.  Isn't she an awesome gal!

They are looking quite like Spring to me!!  I cut into the pear a bit to make some 5 1/2" strips for my border.

It is a bright green, but I think it compliments this quilt top very nicely.  After that I need to get going on adding the HST pieced grey and blue and white borders.  Maybe one more outside one too.  Then she will be finished.  For the quilting I have started pondering what I would like to do...You will have to stay tuned!

For the back, the hubs said do what ya want!   This is what I have been up to for that area....

I pulled out my paper piecing pattern for the circle of geese and completed these in 2 nights.  The fabrics:
Basic Grey
Quilters Cotton River Blue
Quilters Cotton Navy
Kona Lagoon
Kona Ocean
Kona Bluejay
that striped one I cannot remember what it is---it bugs me when that happens!  Give it up right!-----Got IT!! --------------Brooklyn Heights Line Texture Turquoise by Kitty Yoshida----woohoo!  I had a glimpse of a print in my head that I knew I had in my stash so I went and took a peak and found her!  She has some beautiful prints that my local quilt shop carries.

I had a lot of fun pulling out my shades of blue solids for these.  Small pieces into prettiness makes me smile.

First butterfly pic of the season.  :)

It's so fun to play with solids! Love the colors you're playing with these days. Those blue blocks look like fun to make.
