Get your hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, soda HERE!

You are at a baseball game enjoying the sights of the players, the lights.  Enjoying the sounds of people cheering, booing, singing and laughing.  Then....your stomach starts to rumble and you want something to eat with all the EXCITEment!! The vendors appear as IF they know of your hunger!

Now it's getting later, bottom of the 8th inning, the weather is cooling you down quite a bit.  You wish you had a QUILT to cover yourself with at this point--hello-lol;)

In comes:  Baseball Dreams

I am thinking there is a HOMERUN at the end of that game to wrap things up!!

What a great way to end the game.

Time to go home and cuddle up under that quilt and dream of the game:)

Quilted in random straight lines using a red thread and each block was outlined in red stitching made to look like the lacing on a baseball.

On the label it reads: "great American past time" which I took from the fabric selvedge, thought it summed the quilt up well.

Binding: Moda Brown Marble gave a baseball glove effect

Backing: more of what was on the quilt top Kona, Alexander Henry baseball print and a few other Marcus Brother star prints

Size: 52x82 for a twin bed I was trying to allow for some overhang on the bed it is going to be on and I think I have done so.

My second manly quilt done!!  AND I cannot wait for my brother to see the results:):)

Quilt ON!

Fun quilt! Love that baseball theme. I bet it feels great to have it finished and ready to use.

I think you hit it over the fence with this one! Love the random straight line quilting (like the trajectory on a baseball?), and the red outline stitch. Whoop-whoop!!

Whoop whoop!! What a great quilt!! But you must live somewhere north - because it never ever gets cool enough for a quilt by the eighth inning in Nashville!!

What a terrific baseball quilt! I don't think I would have thought to put the brown "leather" binding on it - something for me to consider!
Thanks for sharing!
