how about Apple Dumplings
I use pie dough, peel and core a granny smith apple leave it whole and put it in the center of the rolled out dough square, add a touch of butter and some cinnamon and sugar, fold the ends over the apple to make a little package and bake, or freeze for later....

I like to make apple jelly with our apples. THis year I threw in some chokecherries as well, and the jelly was a beautiful amber color. I left the jars out as decor for fall!

Hey, great giveaway! Love the fabrics...and I could actually REALLY use a new ruler!! :) Funny, I actually just finished eating an apple as a snack. I bought some caramel from the store the other day because I thought I might want to do caramel apples...but I'm lazy, so I just cut up the apple and took alternating bites of caramel. :) It was still really good. But normally, my favorite with apples is peanut butter. Yum! :)

Thanks for a great giveaway!

This is my cranberry sauce recipe I use for the holidays..
http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Cranberry-Kumquat-Sauce-240550
However, I add one tart granny smith to the recipe. Cut into small chunks (keep skin on if you like texture)and cook during the last 4 or 5 mins of the cooking time in the recipe. It mellows out the tartness of the kumquat, especially since you can find some in bad shape around the holidays. If you do use apple, don't make it a several days ahead like the recipe states. One day ahead tops!

I am a follower. Thank you for a great giveaway. Right up our alley, as we have a monkey on safari theme for our 3 year old, and DH is fan of Clemson, so I spy some tiger paws on the fabric (and baseball buttons). Being a newbie quilter, I love notions. Probably 35 years from now and still quilting, I'll be a nut for notions still!
